Reese Jones is an inventor, former venture capitalist, and technology futurist. He was instrumental in the establishment of OneTaste Inc. as an innovative business operating in support of the OneTaste community. Reese helped introduce many of the measures that ensured OneTaste was a safe and entirely consensual adult environment for personal exploration and development. Early safety policies he championed remain in place today. These include no drugs, alcohol, weapons, or minors allowed in or around OneTaste events, courses, and activities.
In May of 2022, a VICE Media story about OneTaste alleged that Nicole Daedone was financially supported by “old people,” that OneTaste “would specifically go for a lot of very rich tech guys,” and that “one of those men is Reese Jones, venture capitalist and OneTaste donor.” VICE’s imputation of financial targeting and improper motives on the part of Nicole Daedone and OneTaste Inc. is completely incorrect.
Reese Jones and Nicole Daedone were in a relationship from 2005–2011. Prior to 2009, Reese made working capital loans to Caravan Retreats (a predecessor company of OneTaste Inc.) in order to fund the growth of OneTaste. The funds were used for media equipment, premises improvements, and a new center in San Francisco.
In 2009, in the wake of the financial crisis, Reese asked that the business loan be repaid. OneTaste began to pay the loan back in 2009, and by October 2012, the loan had been paid back in full. Reese was never a shareholder or executive in OneTaste Inc. or Caravan Retreats.
Nicole Daedone financially supported Reese for many years, including after their romantic involvement ended. Reese participated in OneTaste events long after he was no longer in a position to provide loans to the company.
Reese continues to be active with OneTaste and with the development of science in the practice of Orgasmic Meditation. Most recently, he has been a key player in the development of the peer-reviewed science of Orgasmic Meditation through the Institute of OM Foundation.
