About OM2-05: Tumescence 2/2

Welcome to Tumescence 2/2, a course to help you navigate the complex terrain of the tumescent mind, states of mind which block you from connection and clarity. Through the lens of The Eros Sutras, you’ll learn how resentment locks us into cycles of pain and separation,  like feeling that you can’t date because of how you look and will be rejected or  feeling justified in being upset when people or situations don’t meet your expectations. In this course, you will learn how to unravel those feelings and see the seeds of resentment and how they distort how you see yourself and the world around you.

In Module One, you will learn about resentment, how it works, its impact on your life, and how it fuels tumescence. Next, Module Two introduces the positions on what is called the Victim Triangle. Those positions are ‘Victim,’ ‘Villain,’ and ‘Savior.’ We define them and convert them to their ‘noble’ aspects of ‘Reception,’ ‘Penetration,’ and ‘Offering.’ You may resent a colleague at work for getting a promotion you wanted, or you could celebrate it and be inspired even more to go after what you want. Finally, Module Three focuses on how attention rooted in the body through a practice of OM shifts your perspective from problem-oriented to real solutions. For instance, after an argument with a partner you may feel immediately entitled to an apology or change in their behavior; with the practice of OM, however, you are powered to reflect on your own part in the argument.

These shifts in perspective will guide you back to yourself, helping you open up to the fullness of life instead of staying stuck in old patterns of helplessness and needing validation. Then you can offer your gifts and natural joy.

Ways to Engage

Question What You Learn

Try things out; test them. Don't take our word for it—research it for yourself to discover the validity. The wrestle itself is how you really get inside the material.

Keep a Journal

The things that stand out for you are a guidance of their own. We encourage you to take notes throughout your entire experience. Write down your questions, your observations, passages that catch your eye, realizations, and arguments. In working with Erotic material, your intuition will come alive and begin speaking to you. Taking notes and capturing what stands out for you is how you create a map for yourself of what your soul wants you to know, and of what you are remembering.

Try the Meditations & Exercises

These are designed to offer you a direct experience of the content, which might otherwise feel abstract. That being said, if a meditation or an exercise doesn't make sense to you, you can skip it until later, or try it and modify it. You can always approach the course at your own pace in your own way, and you do not have to be an expert or have any experience of meditation to get value from it.
