eros: The essential energy force that arises from our desire for connection with ourselves, others, and the world around us. It encompasses all of life, evokes beauty, and contributes to an understanding of essential truth. It seeks to unify masculine and feminine energies and manifests as creativity and genius.
The Eros Platform fosters conversations that explore how to meet the urgent needs of our time with creativity, humanity, and effectiveness. Eros bridges what is otherwise separate, serving as an essential catalyst for reimagining the world through a feminine lens. Together, we pave a path toward human flourishing, awakening the unique genius within each individual, institution, and cultural group to steward the world with compassion, connection, and play.

Love Is Impersonal

Impersonal Love

Unless we are connected to an impersonal love, we will make all love, or lack of love, personal. The most generous thing we can do is love through people to Eros. When we do this, that conduit comes through them and the beyond-human pressure is taken off them. We then have the levity of consciousness this prospect affords us. All needs have been met; the other person does not need to be saddled with our needs.

In order to do this—to offer this love—we must be able to see who that person is, in a way that there is no need to have them be anything other than exactly who they are. From there, we can afford to be curious. We can also turn on a dime when anything changes in the form of the connection because that love is accessible everywhere.

Then we can enjoy and love them because we don't need them. Those two things also mean when the call moves us in opposite directions, following the call to go in a different direction is actually the way to love them. Getting off at that peak is an act of love.

Shared Experience

There's a presence in us that naturally seeks the same presence in another. It yearns for it. There is a magnet. A blurring and separation where light enters. That light is Eros. We have that experience with another, not from another, not because of another. It's a shared experience. We drop in.

Most people think they can only have it with one person, and will only allow themselves to have it with one person. But, that's not the way of love. We really want to love and be loved from this place because from here, we know it's openhanded. We ask for nothing and nothing is being asked of us.
