Tumescence, left to its own devices, will manufacture misery in a progressive way and feed off it. Its path will start with resistance to reality, followed by resentment, rejection, and finally, repression, which leads at some unknown point to the climax of explosive behavior. This is the climax track of tumescence.
In contrast, tumescence converted by the Erotic mind is in a perpetual—or automated—cycle of transmutation. This is the alchemy of Eros. The attention is trained to convert tumescent smog into oxygen. Once the training is complete, this process will eventually happen on its own.
Ruled by the tumescent mind, the best we can hope for with our emotions is to bring them to this place where we are so taxed, we cannot help but leak or explode them out through a climactic event. We allow these emotions to collect until they hit a point at which we cannot hold them in anymore, instead of training in the deliberate moment-to-moment discharge in real time.
It can seem like an annoyance to communicate in real time what is happening, to stop life and address it. But what this does is keep consciousness clear from buildup while avoiding the climax that would waste all this energy and cause wreckage.
