The Earth Series

This series maps a bottom-up path to planetary repair that starts in the body and extends to the soil. Drawing on the Eros Sutras, it offers an ethical code aligned with nature—use sunlight (clean fuel), conserve through elegant limits, and compost everything (even anger and shame) into vitality—then scales that ethos through family → community → recipients so repair becomes culture. Outrage is driven into creation; intimacy becomes activism; and justice is built by offerings people actually want because they’re true. Expect practical frames and lived examples that reunite ecology with Eros—healing land, strengthening community, and restoring the joy of belonging to a living world.
Lectures
1. Earth Program: Fire
“Our attitude and behavior around fire has gone from fear to friendship.” With the Megafire trend becoming the new normal in California since 2017, Bob Wilms and Anderson Valley Fire Chief Avila and Battalion Chief Angela Dewitt explore what is possible when communities bond together to rewrite the script and use prescribed burns and understory clearing to generate fire safe environments.

2. The Flourishing Path with John Liu - The Earth Program and Uncon...
Discover how knowledge, attention, and generosity become living systems that repair both soil and society. In The Flourishing Path, John Liu, Bob Wilms, and Jason share hands-on work—from Love to Table to Unconditional Freedom—showing how intimacy-as-activism builds resilience where we live. The Eros Sutras frame it simply: justice grows from the bottom up; we “drive outrage into creation,” organize resources through family → community → recipients, and build mandalas people actually want because they’re true. Expect concrete ways to restore ecosystems, bridge urban–rural life, and cultivate a network strong enough to hold real repair.

3. The Earth Program
The Earth Project invites a double restoration—of ecosystems and our own humanity. Rooted in the Eros Sutras’ ethic that justice is built from the bottom up, the work is hands-on: learn from the land, conserve and “compost” everything (including our anger, shame, and waste), and organize community around offerings that are true and needed. As we reconnect with soil, seasons, and each other, vigilance softens, belonging deepens, and power becomes service—not domination. This is intimacy-as-activism in practice: humble, measurable acts that regenerate habitats while integrating the parts of ourselves we’ve exiled, until we inherit an earth we actually want to live on.

4. Earth Program: Water
“The health of the water is a principle measure of how (we) are living on The Land.” - Brock Dolman, Co-founder of the Water Institute and OAEC. After the historic drought years of 2020 and 2021 The Earth Program invited a group of experts including Brock Dolman, Linda Macalwee, Ray Archuleta and John D. Liu to explore our relationship to water and life.
