Poetry: Our Mother Who Art Below

By Published: July, 2025

Our Mother Who Art Below

by Lindsey Wehking

Our Mother, who art below,

Hallowed be thy name.

Thy rhythm come, thy mystery be done,

On earth as is in blood.

Give us this day our daily fruit,

And forgive us our forgetting

As we forgive those who turned our power against us

Women, confused by our own magic

Women, fuming with shame

Lead us not into protection,

But deliver us from rage
