Welcome to Tumescence 3/3. This course introduces specific tumescent types, which are behavioral patterns caused by tumescence. We all tend to lean towards or have a more dominant type. For instance, you may become overwhelmed or overly anxious in high-pressure situations or you might be someone who sticks to the rules no matter what but becomes enraged when others don’t. You will learn the three tumescent types, Hovering, Pressure, and Drive, and how they influence and impact your connection with others. Module by module, you will grow your ability to see and work with these patterns skillfully and consciously. You will then be able to convert any built-up or trapped energy to be converted into creativity.

In Module One, ‘Tumescent Identities,’ you will learn the tumescent types, what your particular tumescent expression is, and how to convert tumescence in yourself and others with engaged attention. Module Two breaks down the characteristics of Hovering tumescence, such as confusion, overwhelm, anxiety, and distraction. With this tumescence type, you may feel at the mercy of high-pressure situations and once converted, see what you are capable of. Next, in ‘Pressure Tumescence,’ you will see how this tumescent type is a response to a fear of chaos or instability and learn how to convert it to presence and stability. Finally, Drive Tumescence can often appear as over-emotional. You will learn how to convert it to its natural state of pure, unadulterated expression. This course is about recognizing the patterns, not rejecting or dismissing them, but learning how to skillfully use their energy for creativity.
